275LB OF PURE NFL MUSCLE SPARRING WITH RENER GRACIE. SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD TIME TO US (PA– USE).

Rener Gracie Spars with 275 lb NFL Athlete (Gracie University Narrated Sparring)

If you have never sparred in jiu jitsu allow me to fill you in on what it feels like. Imagine using every muscle in your entire body at the same time against an opponent trying to out maneuver you. Then there is the mental aspect of becoming  aware of what movements you need to do in order to overcome your opponent. If you train for years muscle memory will kick in and you move like a machine or as I like to say a Boa constrictor. Now imagine having to implement the above against a 275lb NFL player! That’s exactly what Rener Gracie did when he decided to spar with Tamba Hali of the KC Chiefs. Tamba has made it a routine to train at the Gracie Academy for several weeks every summer before heading back to Chiefs training camp for the upcoming season. Rener is a master of his craft and despite the weight difference, skill will trump brute strength in most cases. Taking nothing away from Hali because he is definitely a skilled Jiu Jitsu practitioner but Gracie is technically more advanced.  You will clearly see Tamba’s strength when the two go head to head. In the end Gracie is just to wily for him. Check it out:

^edit – we changed the title because we understand some of you did not get that rolling = sparring.  You could even refer to it as randori which most people relate with Judo terminology.
