KOREAN GIRL GROUP MISTAKEN FOR SEX WORKERS?

Korean pop group OHMYGIRL (yep, that’s the groups real name) had a little trouble at LAX the other day.  They were detained at the airport and eventually sent packing back to South Korea due to suspicions they were sex workers. The eight young South Korean members of Oh My Girl were traveling to the U.S. for a photo shoot and a performance. Customs had other plans though. When the agents searched their luggage and came across their costumes, they were pretty certain these girls were here for illicit business.  A translated statement from the ladies label in the Los Angeles Times read in part: “As young women, they were mistaken as ‘working women’ which has recently been a big issue in the U.S.,”. The entertainment company said the band eventually gave up and flew back to South Korea.  Customs, keeping us safe from pop groups world wide:
