ROOKIE CORRECTION OFFICERS FIRST DAY ON THE JOB STARTS WITH A NICE TAKE DOWN.

Behind Bars-Rookie Year- Bonus Scene- Officer Chavez’s First Challenge

Working as a correction officer is no walk in the park. You are surrounded and outnumbered by criminals. You must maintain your composure and be stern, while still being fair and reasonable. When that doesn’t work you have to act decisively. Behind Bars: Rookie Year is a show being filmed for A&E that follows corrections officers during their first year on the job. Executive producer Jon Hirsch recaps Officer Chavez’s adrenaline-filled first minutes on the job in this bonus scene from “Is It Worth It?” Officer Chavez sensed a threat and addresed the threat . He then proceeds to stop the unruly prisoner before things get out of hand, without the use of excessive force.  Job well done.
