Apple’s First Computer Made Sells For $300,000

How much to own a piece of history? One anonymous buyer walked away with a fully functioning Apple 1 for $300,000.

The Apple 1 is a piece of computer history that helped launch a trillion-dollar company. These pieces of machinery are extremely rare because only 200 were made in 1976. Of those original 200, there are only about 60 floating around in the world, and an even smaller number, closer to 15, are functional. This particular Apple-1 was restored to its original, operational state by computer historian Corey Cohen.
