Dog’s Remains Have Been Stuck In Tree For 60 Years!

Meet “Stuckie”, the mummified dog.  Back in 1980 loggers discovered the remains of an unidentified dog after cutting into a chestnut oak tree. They believe the dog chased small game into the tree and climbed an astounding 28 feet up before becoming stuck. Definitely a horrible way to go out.

“People always ask me, ‘How did he get in there?’,” said Brandy Stevenson, Forest World’s manager, told Roadside America. “And I always say, ‘Well, he was a hound dog. Maybe he was after a coon.’ And then they’ll say, ‘Poor old thing. I feel so sorry for him.’”
