Is This The World’s First Dent Proof Car

Disaster-prone drivers may soon be able to breathe a sigh of relief.

This concept car has airbags on the outside and it’s called the Flesby II. It was created by car part manufacturer Toyoda Gosei, and it was shown off at the Toyko Motor Show.

LED lighting gives the car some personality, but the lights do more than make faces. They are actually meant to communicate with passengers and pedestrians. The exterior airbags absorb the impact of a collision and are supposed to instantly repair any dents.

The outside material is a soft shape-changing rubber and its body shape will change during high-speed driving to resist wind. Most concept cars never go into production, but Toyoda hopes the car will hit the streets in 2030.
