Swedish model Agnes Hedengård has been having a tough time getting work and you won’t believe the reason why. Apparently the 19 year old 5ft 11 model is considered too big by agency standards. She made the video below to share her story about her body and how it’s not considered ”ok” in the modeling industry. In her video Agnes is seen standing in front of a mirror in her underwear, as she reveals that after five years as a model, work has dried up. ‘I don’t get any more jobs since the industry thinks I’m too big’. She goes on to explain that ‘According to the modeling industry, you cannot look like this. You need to be thinner. ‘I have been in contact with big agencies and clients that really wants to work with me, but as soon as they get hold of my measurements, its a whole other story.’ If she is too big, then the fashion industry needs to get a serious reality check. Listen to Agnes, who has been working as a model since the age of 15 and came third in Sweden’s Next Top Model last year explain her plight in the fashion industry below.
I’m no fashion industry expert but I couldn’t see turning her down for a job based on weight? Check out some more pictures of Agnes Hedengård below:
