See It: Michigan Dams Break Flooding Towns


As if the citizens of Michigan don’t have enough to deal with. Rapidly rising water overflowed two dams and forced the evacuation of about 10,000 people in central Michigan, where flooding struck communities along rain-swollen waterways. Governor Gretchen Whitmer said downtown Midland could be “under approximately 9 feet of water” by Wednesday, and that “to go through this in the midst of a global pandemic is almost unthinkable.”
