Car chases are not like in the movies where everything is scripted. There is a huge chance of collateral damage, so cops have to do what they can to keep a situation from getting out of control. This South African cop took a move straight out of the Bruce Willis Die Hard hand book. After having enough of chasing this suspect he tried something that he knew would work – shooting out the tire. I imagined he yelled out Yippee-ki-yay, motherfu^ker as he let off the shots.
