Meet Claude-Alain Gailland and Gilles Janin, two daredevils who know no limits. Gailland is a Swiss mountain guide, and Janin, a canyon activity specialist, together they tackled body boarding down 7 miles of the Aletsch Glacier in Switzerland.
The two major dangers involved here are:
- Deep crevasses they can fall through.
- A glacial lake falling behind them would create a massive tidal wave of icy water sending them speeding down the river at lethal speeds.
However these guys are pros and a little thing called ‘possible death’ wasn’t gonna stop them. The two athletes are of a handful of people in the world who are qualified to participate in this sport.
