Thanksgiving wasn’t full of holiday cheer for a captain on Riker’s Island. He was jumped by three inmates over the holiday. According to reports, 31-year-old Captain Awais Ghauri was the victim of an attack while he attempted to walk through the Otis Bantum Correctional Center. Why anyone would want to be a correctional officer is beyond us.
